Basalt is a student-run literary magazine funded by the College of Western Idaho's Language and Arts Department. It is published annually each Spring and accepts submissions year round. Basalt publishes original fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art, as well as the three top submissions to Storyfort's Micro-Fiction Contest. 2018's contest will open in the Fall.
